1. PURPOSE

This Exchange Policy explains when OPCT may replace a product with the same item, provide an equivalent model or allow an approved exchange for another product.

2. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT EXCHANGES

Where a defective product qualifies for replacement under applicable law, supplier terms or manufacturer warranty, OPCT may exchange it for the same model or an equivalent replacement where stock and the applicable remedy permit.

3. INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED PRODUCTS

If OPCT supplied an incorrect item, OPCT may arrange an exchange for the ordered product once the error is verified and the returned product is accounted for.

4. CHANGE-OF-MIND EXCHANGES

A change-of-mind exchange may be accepted at OPCT’s discretion where no statutory right applies. The product should normally be unused, undamaged, complete and suitable for resale, with all original accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.

5. PRICE DIFFERENCES

If the replacement product costs more, the customer must pay the difference before the exchange is completed. If it costs less, OPCT will determine whether the balance is refunded, credited or applied to another agreed item.

6. STOCK AVAILABILITY

An exchange depends on stock availability. If the same model is unavailable, OPCT may offer a comparable alternative, supplier credit process, replacement lead time or refund where appropriate.

7. SPECIAL-ORDER AND CUSTOM PRODUCTS

Special-order, custom-built, customer-configured or activated products may not qualify for a discretionary exchange once procurement or customisation has begun, except where a legal remedy applies.

8. SOFTWARE AND LICENCES

Activated licence keys, provisioned subscriptions and other digital products may not be exchangeable after activation, unless the product was incorrectly supplied, defective or otherwise subject to a mandatory remedy.

9. EXCHANGE PROCESS

Customers should contact OPCT with the invoice or order number and the reason for the requested exchange. OPCT will confirm the return, assessment and replacement process before the item is sent back.

CONTACT AND LEGAL PRIORITY

Questions about this policy may be sent to info@opct.co.za. Please include the relevant customer, order, invoice, service or ticket reference where available.

These terms are intended to explain OPCT’s standard business practices. They do not remove any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If a provision conflicts with mandatory South African law, the applicable law will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

OPCT may update this policy when business processes, services, technology or legal requirements change. The version published on this website is the current public version.
