Shipping & Delivery Policy

Shipping, courier delivery, local delivery and customer collection

Effective Date: 26 September 2026
Business: OPCT IT Partners

Email: info@opct.co.za
Address: 639 Rubenstein Drive, Moreleta Park, Pretoria, South Africa

1. DELIVERY METHODS

OPCT may deliver products using recognised couriers, supplier direct delivery, internal delivery arrangements or customer collection, depending on the item, destination and order.

2. DELIVERY AREA

Delivery availability depends on courier coverage, product type and destination. Some remote areas, high-risk destinations, oversized equipment or specialised items may require a separate delivery arrangement.

3. DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Any delivery date or lead time is an estimate unless OPCT expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Timing may depend on supplier stock, distributor processing, imports, courier operations, public holidays, weather, industrial action, load-shedding, access restrictions and other events outside OPCT’s control.

4. STOCK AND BACK-ORDERS

Products displayed or quoted may be sourced from distributors or suppliers and may not be held physically by OPCT. If stock changes after an order is placed, OPCT will advise the customer of the revised lead time, available alternatives or cancellation options where appropriate.

5. DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery charges, where applicable, are communicated before finalisation or included on the quotation, order or invoice. Additional charges may apply for urgent delivery, remote areas, oversized items, re-delivery or special handling where agreed.

6. DELIVERY ADDRESS

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact name and telephone number. OPCT is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible delivery information supplied by the customer.

7. RECEIVING A DELIVERY

The person receiving the parcel should inspect the outer packaging where practical and record obvious damage, tampering or shortages. Signing a courier document does not remove any right that cannot lawfully be removed, but prompt reporting makes investigation easier.

8. DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS

Delivery damage, missing items or incorrect parcels should be reported as soon as reasonably possible. Keep the product and packaging and provide photographs of the parcel, shipping label, damage and contents where available.

9. FAILED DELIVERY OR RE-DELIVERY

If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, access is refused or the address is incorrect, a courier may return the parcel or charge for re-delivery. Any additional costs will be dealt with according to the circumstances and applicable law.

10. CUSTOMER COLLECTION

Where collection is arranged, OPCT will confirm when the order is ready. Identification, proof of purchase or written authority may be required before goods are released to another person.

11. RISK, TITLE AND SECURITY

Risk and ownership are determined by the applicable transaction, payment status and South African law. OPCT may withhold release of goods that have not been paid for where legally permitted.

12. INSTALLATION AFTER DELIVERY

Delivery of hardware does not automatically include installation, configuration, data migration or setup unless these services are included in the quotation or order.

CONTACT AND LEGAL PRIORITY

Questions about this policy may be sent to info@opct.co.za. Please include the relevant customer, order, invoice, service or ticket reference where available.

These terms are intended to explain OPCT’s standard business practices. They do not remove any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If a provision conflicts with mandatory South African law, the applicable law will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

OPCT may update this policy when business processes, services, technology or legal requirements change. The version published on this website is the current public version.
